About Kylone

One product. Ten years.
Tested where it runs.

Kylone is a software company with one product: the complete broadcast headend in software, licensed as six feature sets from the Digital Headend Gateway to the Hospitality Headend and the Carrier Monitor. Since 2015 that one product has grown through four generations and about two hundred field releases, and today it runs in more than 2,000 units deployed on four continents.

What we believe

Stability is the feature. A headend is sold once and expected to run for years with nobody watching it. Every release is judged by that standard: sources recover on their own, watchdogs guard the engine, a channel never goes dark through a switch, maintenance runs in its window, and the monitoring view shows what an engineer needs to see.

Tested where it runs. Every release is tested on the hardware it ships for: standard x86 servers with the Linux DVB driver stack, pinned to the kernel and driver set that passed, and the turnkey appliances a hardware partner delivers it on. One software, one support path, and no compatibility roulette between software and silicon.

Open where it counts. Processing runs as modules, the management API is published on GitHub, channel lists and programme guides come in the formats integrators already use, and central management is transparent about what it does and does not do.

Who we build for

Broadcasters and operators, hotels and hospitality integrators, campuses, residences and enterprise networks: anyone who needs a channel line-up delivered reliably to screens, whether those screens sit in a guest room, a lecture hall or a city.

How we work

Small, direct and field-driven. The engineers who write the software answer the support requests, a customer's problem becomes a field release rather than a ticket in a queue, and the release notes say what changed and why. That is how ten years turn into two hundred releases without the product losing its shape.
